Talking About Appliances

Hi there. My name is Kathy Mills. Welcome. I would like to use my site to share information about appliances. I spent my teenage years tearing down appliances for scrap metal. Throughout that process, I learned how to spot repairable issues that could be repaired in order to return the appliances to service with just a few quick part replacements. I also learned how to spot catastrophic damage that warranted a simple and quick teardown instead. I hope you will utilize the information on my site to learn more about the way your appliances operate. I will talk about the internal components and their functions in great detail. Thanks.

4 Spring Cleaning Appliance Repair Tips

As you start your spring cleaning, make sure that you don't forget to add your kitchen appliances to your list of things to clean. Here are five cleaning appliance tips to incorporate into your cleaning routine.

#1 Clean The Inside Of Your Dishwasher

The inside of your dishwasher can get dirty from all the dishes that it cleans. You can easily get rid of any built-up food residue inside of your dishwasher by pouring vinegar into the liquid washer reservoir and running your dishwasher without any dishes in it one time. This is a relatively easy way to clean the inside of your dishwasher this spring.

#2 Get Rid Of Microwave Food Stains

The next thing you need to do is get rid of any food stains inside of your microwave. You can easily clean the inside of your microwave by mixing some water with some baking soda to create a cleaning paste. Wipe down the inside of your microwave with this solution; be sure to unplug your microwave before cleaning it. This solution will sanitize your microwave and help kill any bacteria growing inside of it.

#3 Remove Odors From Your Fridge

Over time, your fridge can retain odors from the food that you leave inside of it. You can remove odors from your fridge with the proper cleaning techniques.

First, remove the food from your fridge and wipe down each shelf and drawer with a solution of dish soap and water. Next, take a little vanilla extract and use a sponge or rag, dipped in the vanilla extract, to wipe down the walls of your refrigerator. That will help remove any lingering bad odors that are inside of your fridge. Finally put an open box of baking soda inside of your fridge; this will help neutralize any remaining odors.

#4 Ease The Odors From Your Garbage Disposal

Finally, every once in a while you also need to clean your garbage disposal. Put a handful of ice cubes into your garbage disposal and run your disposal for about a minute. Next, cut up a lime and put it down your garbage disposal. Taking both of these steps will clean off the blades of your garbage disposal and will help get rid of any unpleasant odors coming from your disposal.

Clean up your kitchen Thermador appliances and get rid of any unpleasant odors emitting from them by following the cleaning tips outlined above. These are great cleaning tips to utilize throughout the year, not just in spring time.
